Sunshine's Haiku Challenge

In the interest of brain stimulation, comment generating hilarity, and just an excuse to have a good time, I offer the wacky and wonderful Sunshine's Haiku Challenge.

• Anyone can participate
• You will be notified of upcoming Haiku Challenge dates via email (these will happen a couple times a month)
• I will maintain a listing of all participating bloggers (more viral linking for all you Technorati whores)
• Post the button in your sidebar, tell your readers, the more the merrier

How it works:
I'll write up a short story in the blog post. Your response must be in haiku form, using the common 5-7-5 (5 syllables first line, 7 syllables second line, 5 syllables third line) and you don't need to restrict yourself to one "stanza" if you want to do multiple 5-7-5 groupings to get your point across. Especially if that makes it funnier.
