I honestly can't handle Grease 2.
Encino Man had prom. (I just really like the movie and yes, it's cheesy and I really like the DeLuise boys, so when "Matt" said "Shoosh" all the time, it cracked me up. I also liked Mean Girls.
But my absolute favorite has to be Saved!. Of course it is a fave movie. But, when Mandy Moore crashes her van into Jesus because prom is "ruined" by the "bad" kids. Come on, that's awesome. (Now I'll be watching this today).

For movie night last week, hubby brought out Back to the Future (his favorite movie) and our kids saw it for the first time. That movie ROCKS. Z didn't totally get the whole back in time thing, but he loved it.
Stef:"Are you crazy? I get two for the price of one."
Michael:"Are you certain?"
S:"I've never been certainer."
M:"More certain."
S:"The certainest!"
As much as I am one of the biggest geek-fans of Grease 2, that seemed like the cheapest ploy, even to me, to copy Gidget's 'the ginchiest.'
You're so right. If I had tried half as hard in school as I did memorizing SNL sketches, I might be a doctor or something...
I don't know if it is a prom, but there is a dance scene in Its a Wonderful Life. You know, they all end up in the swimming pool.
I love movie proms because they are infinitely more exciting than my own. Saved! is one of my favorites, too.

Oh, Footloose. Gotta love it and the Bacon still has it going on. I've loved every single one of his quirky and unique movies.
Ak- -what is the one with Kyra where they set things on fire every time they get it on? It's simply fantastic.
I know it wasn't technically a prom, but: farmer Ted and Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles: "totally hot!!"
Plus: has there ever been a human of the male variety hotter and hunkier than JAKE RYAN. "nuf said.
