It's about that time again. Sunshine's 2nd Annual Blog Prom! Last year was so fun, a few people got a little tipsy and our friend Kerry even got herself knocked up. For those of you who were on academic probation and missed it, here is the scoop.Find a date. Or pile in with a group if you are not going steady with another blogger. Myself, I'm planning to ask Gina (my hetero lifemate) again and I sure hope she says yes! And make sure you tell your blog readers so they can go to Blog Prom too!
Also, go over to your parents' house and dig up the old prom pictures and get those suckers sent in ASAP. I had some people procrastinate last year on getting a picture and they were very sorry because the pictures that were submitted were AWESOME. All that 80s hair!!!
Here's the timeline:
- Monday April 28 - Let's talk about our Prom theme songs. (Here is the DJ songlist from last year)
- Tuesday April 29 - embarrassing Prom stories. Talk about the good, the bad and the ugly on your own blog about a Prom memory and I'll link to the whole list.
- Wednesday April 30 - favorite movie Prom scenes! Because it seems like all of us watch way too many movies and know an inordinate amount of dialogue by heart.
- Thursday May 1 - submitted Prom photos will be posted with links to participating bloggers
- Friday May 2 - PROM! Start sucking up to people now, we'll be voting on some things far more interesting than Prom King and Queen.
If you never went to Prom, consider attending this year, I'd love to be your first! If you did go to Prom in high school...welcome back, I'm bringing the MadDog 20/20 to spike the punch.

I don't know if I'll go yet...I was the 'boring prom date'...Although, I thought I was quite hot in my short white dress...off the shoulders of course! Hmmmm? Maybe I'll just send you a picture...maybe!

I never went to prom so I don't a clue about them. I'll be the wall flower and watch from the sidelines. Cool idea though
Wow, that sounds like fun. I am the new girl so I don't know if anyone would talk to me. And, I'll have to find a date. I'm getting stressed out already. I don't know if I have enough time to lay out all weekend long to "tan". Shoot, I don't tan anyway! Now, who can I take that I can avoid kissing all night? Hmmm.

I never went to prom because I never attended high school. I skipped that part. I fixed it by going to college, but there was no prom. But since Golfwidow is attending, I am so there!! Thanks for the invite.

i have told my dates, however, i will not stand up in the sunroof...not because i'm concerned with smashing my face against a sign, as in the great death in 'six feet under'...but, because i fear they'll be looking for flags flapping, and find out it's only the loose skin under my upper arms.

You know Sunshine some of us are sitting by the phone (oh, make that the computer) waiting for that call from that certain someone to ask us to the prom. And for some of us the call never comes. Anyway, if even if this is at the last minute, sign Daddy D and me up for the prom. Even though we attended the fun event last year, we left early...you know wink,wink.
I have three dates and about twenty other people at my table.
To anyone (including Quin) who's rolling in my limo - anyone who doesn't stand up through the moonroof is responsible for going into the package store in all their prom frippery and finery, and buying the beers. Fortunately, we're all older now, so even if we do get carded, we'll have proof of majority.
