You got your hair all did up and maybe even you remembered deodorant. Or some sparkly crap to put on your face. I don't know...but even if you're here and you haven't even brushed your teeth today, it doesn't matter.
Its just for fun.
This post will be updated throughout the morning with Prom attendees and their dates (if any, some of you are too shy to ask anyone!) and feel free to go read the blogs of the fun and fab prom goers. You need to comment and let me know if you are "here" and whether or not you have a date and I'll keep updating with the links.
At 1PMish Central time, Ill be adding to the post with "prom" activities. No, there wont be some kind of moonlight dance or anything...just check back after that time, then you'll know for sure.
At any rate...welcome to the Prom! And just to clarify, since I've been asked a couple times - why a Blog Prom?
Well, I thought it would be fun to remember all the fun/horrible/tacky/silly/ridiculous things about Prom, and being in high school, and trying to be grown ups when you're not. I mean, the few posts about Prom have brought some funny and interesting people around here that I never anticipated, and I'm glad.
Officially, Blog Prom is a huge success based on the memories shared with just the Prom songs, stories, pictures and even movies you remember!
It's just fun. That's all. Nothing earth shattering, like pretty much everything else I write on my blog...I'm not trying to change the world, I'm just trying to make my place in it as good and happy and fun as possible. And throw in heavy usage of sarcasm and as many opportunities to say "ass" as I can. So, that's all. Just another one of my dippy ideas.

- Sunshine will be accompanied by Gina, her hetero lifemate
- Emily is coming stag
- MJD and Daddy D are making a return appearance as "most steady couple"
- There's Edge and some, uh, puddin?
- Table for 4! Tim, Golfwidow, Peter, and Quin arrive for the fun
- Terri flying solo unless Corky makes an appearance
- Joan and Nancy are dates, this could be the night!
- Tink and Birdman are making a dance spectacle of themselves
- Amy arrives stag, but I'm sure she won't be alone all night
- Michael is staying as far away from the valedictorian as humanly possible
- After Cosmic gets done bitchslapping Golfwidow, she will be getting jiggy with her celebrity date, Pierce Brosnan

I'm coming alone ... again ... and maybe it's for the better. Tink won't sleep with me anymore since she's engaged. Something about "fidelity" .. whatever ... It will just be me and my $240 worth of pudding. I'll just chill over here on my LOOOOVVEEE Seat.

Peter, Quin, Tim, and I are eagerly awaiting activities, because it's Raining on Prom Day here in CT and I daren't wander outside or my hair will frizz.

Cosmic here. I am at Golfwidow's table. I'm going to have to slap her for not telling you. I am not bringing a date. Hubby can't dance. No, really he can't. He has no legs. So I shall be dateless unless I can talk Pierce Brosnan into bringing me. Unlikely.

I plan on spiking the punch. They still serve punch at proms, don't they?
One thing I learned in college (post prom) is NEVER drink punch. I'm here, but I'm hanging out in the parking lot with all the other people that can't stand the music choices for prom. I might come in later if something fun comes up. And since I don't live with the 'rents any more, I'm dressing how I want, and you can bet no hairspray has touched this hair.

I'm here on my own...which is one reason I'm the Designated Wallflower. My husband doesn't blog or dance, so he's probably just as glad not to be here.
To Cosmic: I apologize ... I thought I only had to announce my date(s) and anyone else who was going to be at my table would be writing blog posts and announcing themselves and their dates.
My father tells a story of peeing in the punch at his high school prom. I never asked questions. I didn't want to know. I'm just hoping he didn't pee directly into the punch bowl.
I love, love, love the pictures. I still have mine on my laptop from last years prom. Ah, the bangs, we miss you!
I went stag my senior year...I wonder what happened to that picture...about 8 of us did it.
