Tattoos are a funny thing. There seems to be two kinds for the most part. The tattoo where somebody was drunk, and said, "I totally have to have a Roadrunner tattoo on my inner thigh, wanna go with?" and then there's people who get tattoos with a deep and powerful meaning, something that is so important to them that they need to make it a permanent part of themselves and a tattoo seems like the way to do that. (I mean, would you know Popeye was in the Navy without his anchor tattoo?)
I know everybody has their own opinion about tattoos. I mean, yes, I can see how it is distracting to some when they go to a wedding and all the bridesmaids, in their beautiful strapless gowns, have their backs and shoulders peppered with ink. I find it less distracting than the bride's drunk uncle trying to grope the groom's poor granny at the reception. We all have different boundaries of good taste, don't we?
Anyway, I'm throwing a Tattoo Party! Anyone who has a tattoo and wants to participate needs to email me the following information by JUNE 1ST!!
- Your name
- Your blog address
- a JPG of your tattoo (only pick one please if you have multiple tattoos)
So, come on and join us, get inked at Sunshine's! Email me at sonia.sunshine13@gmail.com by June 1st!
**Don't say what your tattoo is in the comments if you're sending it in for the party, you're making it too easy on everyone who has to guess which tattoo belongs to which blogger!!**

awwwwwww unfortunately I don't have a tattoo(mostly because I HATE needles...lol). Can I still play?? Maybe a pic of the tattoo I would want if I wasn't such a chicken??? LOL
I think tattoos are fascinating. I used to make side cash by designing a few. One of my roommates was a piercer and tattoo artist. Oddly though, I never got one myself. I guess I've never felt inspired enough by any one design.
None here for this blank white canvass...
I can't forsee any circumstance I'd get one either.
Never would have figured you as the tattoo type - but you're always full of surprises.
I don't have any, and never will. Once you get one, they're damned hard to get rid of, and most of the people I know who have tattoos regret getting them.
I don't have one but hubby does, comedy/tragedy. I think that he still likes it other than the fact that his brother and father have NO imagination and got the same thing just in a different "pose" if you will. I might send a pic of his in? maybe....
I have two tattoos, and just got the second one in the last year. I am totally participating!! I will have to take some photos tonight.
You scooped me on this! I was gonna do the same thing for July 4. I really don't mind being beat to the punch by you, though. Cuz u rock. So, I'm gonna send you a pic of my ink and join this party here. ;)
What a funny idea. I have ink. I'll play.
BTW, I have a link going up on Friday about "regrettable ink". Great minds?
ONLY ONE??? I HAVE FOUR TO PICK FROM!!
My husband has a tattoo inked on the old fashioned way when he was about sixteen. Just a small basic dagger. I never even think about it any more.
I'll probably participate. I don't have a picture as yet. Now I wish I had the money to get the one I have planned.
WOW, lots of people I would never think have tats. Intersting.
Me, not so much. In fact we have debate in our house going on related to "pretend" tattoos. Whether or not they are ok.
Can't wait to guess :)
O.k., I'm in! I'm happily inked. My kids call it Mama's picture. Shannon

I don't have a problem with most tattoos, but I don't have any. Perhaps it's because I have so many surgical scars that I didn't have any smooth skin left.
I guess I'll have to sit this one out.
OOOO I'm so excited Check your e-mail soon.
You come up with the coolest stuff.
I'm taking this as yet another sign that I should get the tat I've been thinking about for sooooo long.
Wow - maybe I'll do it before June 1
Do stretchmarks count??
I have one....but I will have to play around with the camera to see if I can get it without some other things that don't need to be seen by the blogosphere! :)
I think a few well placed tatoos can be really sexy!
Oh...and I got mine for the first reason....DEFINITELY the first reason! :)
I wanted to get a tattoo for a while - I wanted Harmony Smurf (the one who plays the trumpet and really sucks at it). But I knew that I would end up regretting it so I got my navel pierced instead, figuring that when I got tired of it, I could just take it out. No permanence.
Yeah, so I took it out more than three and a half years ago and guess what? Big ol' hole above my belly button. I think it's here to stay. I should've just gotten the Smurf tattoo.
Ha! I am too excited about this! My tattoo is good for a few laughs.. I am soooo in!
Count me in among those sans tattoos.
I have always known, though, that if I were to ever get one, it would be of Kermit the Frog.
Oooo, this sounds like fun! My tatoos are in places that are easily covered up for weddings and such. See...I'm social-minded! I'll play, when's the deadline?
No ink for this chick. I can't think of any design that I am 100% certain I would still want on my body in 20-30 years.
i came by way of the bean blog. i'll play along
I'm in....I'll send my info later!
decisions, decisions ..... which one to send a picture of. Count me in!!
I'm in, but I wish I hadn't gotten my tat where I got it. And I wish I had incorporated something more Irish into it.
I'm not too much into women with tats though, unless it's in some secret place that I'll find later. Kind of like the prize in the cereal box.

Count. Me. In.
I'm in. I have several, but I'll pick the one I like best.
oh, i'll be emailing you - now, which one of four to send...? i came via busydad, and i'm totally hanging for the party! what a great idea.
What an awesome idea! I'm in!
No regrets here, count me in!
Oh yeah. I LOVE my tattoos. The only difficulty is choosing the one to send.....
